Miley Cyrus continues to amaze us.

How’d these two become pals?
“Etta James was a great influence to both me and Miley,” her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, told me at the Grammys. “We used to jam to Etta quite frequently going back and forth to the [Hannah Montana] set.
“Then one day we called her, and Miley and her really struck up a friendship,” he continued. “It was something special.”
The “At Last” singer died last month at age 73.
Meanwhile, daddy Cyrus says he doesn’t let his daughter’s critics bother him. “You just got to focus on the things you know to be true,” he said. “There’s a great line in the Book of Psalms that says, ‘The truth will be my shield and my buckle.’ There’s a lot of power in those words.”

Last night (15th February), Miley and Johnzo West performed their Bob Dylan cover of You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go on Jimmy Kimmel Live. They sound flawless! Miley looks so beautiful. Celebuzz editor Taryn Ryder was on the scene last night at the Sony PlayStation Launch for the PS Vita in Hollywood, where we caught up with none other than Gale Hawthorne himself, Liam Hemsworth.
The hunky actor, who currently graces the March 2012 cover of Details, gave us the scoop on the highly anticipated movie, out March 23. He also revealed that he was able to convert Miley Cyrus into a fan of the series.
“She got into it after I got the part,” he said. “She has read the first one and liked it. I’m excited for her to see it.”
Liam, who said his favorite Hunger Games book is Mockingjay (“The good people get to fight back,” he said), also revealed which scenes he’s dying for fans to see.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the actual games,” he said. “I haven’t seen any of that! I think that will be great.”
As for whether or not he did his own stunts, he said, “A little bit. This one was more about losing weight and looking hungry. But hopefully in the third one yeah, I’m looking forward to getting in on the action.”

Star reports that Miley Cyrus is “wilder than ever!”
According to “multiple sources” for the tabloid, the former “Hannah Montana” star is caught in a downward spiral of “partying, drinking and using drugs.” One of these so-called sources claims, “She pretends like she is this perfect little girl to the public, but behind closed doors, she is really messed up.” Another supposed insider adds, “Miley has been partying and boozing a lot,” noting that the teen star “runs with a very shady, drug-using group.” Star alleges Cyrus’ behavior has gotten so out of control that friends “fear the pop star is on the road to disaster,” quoting one of the alleged sources as saying, “We are afraid Miley will overdose.”
But that’s not all.
The mag says the singer’s “bad-girl behavior” is also causing problems in her relationship with Liam Hemsworth. Cyrus has allegedly been “less than loyal” to her beau, having acted “flirty” with pal Cheyne Thomas during a recent outing in L.A. “They definitely had a boyfriend-girlfriend rapport,” offers Star’s source.
Sure they did.

In reality, of course, this tale is complete fiction. An impeccable Cyrus source tells Gossip Cop there’s “no truth to any of it,” calling the tab’s claims, “absurd.” And our insider assures us, “Miley and Liam are very happy together.”

Coinciding with the studio announcing a new actress to co-star with Adam Sandler in the upcoming animated vampire flick, THR sources confirm that Jason Morey and the former Disney star have also parted ways.
On the heels of the news this week that Miley Cyrus is out of Sony Pictures’ upcoming animated vampire flick, sources confirm to The Hollywood Reporter that she and manager Jason Morey have also split.
The studio confirmed the departure of the 19-year-old singer and actress from Hotel Transylvania, featuring Adam Sandler voicing the lead role of Dracula. Cyrus would have played Mavis, his teenage daughter, but was quickly replaced by former Disney darling Selena Gomez.
Though the cause of Cyrus and manager Morey’s split remains unclear, is this latest development the sign of an impending downward professional spiral or simply a case of bad luck and unfortunate timing?
Vanessa Hudgens and Miley Cyrus used to be Disney darlings together, now – both all grown up – the stars share the same body art.
The “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” star stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Friday, where she revealed that her and Miley both love the same mantra.
“I got to see Miley that was really nice,” the 23-year-old actress said when asked about her recent appearance at the 2012 People’s Choice Awards in January.
“We found out that we have the same tattoo!” Vanessa told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover.
“It’s an om [symbol],” she explained referring to the popular chant often used in meditation and yoga.
Vanessa, who has om tattooed on the outer edge of the bottom of both of her pinkie fingers, said the tattoo helps her “spread positive energy” and to “center” herself.
“She has one right here,” Vanessa said of Miley’s om ink, pointing to her left wrist.
The actress is also staying positive about her body image and the pesky paparazzi who jump (and hide in bushes) at the chance to snap a photo of her.
“My body is my body,” she told Billy and Kit. “I love myself and I think you’ve got to be proud of the body. You have and own it.”
“Journey 2: The Mysterious Island,” which also stars Dwayne Johnson and Josh Hutcherson, opens in theaters today.
